Patriots Taking Advantage of Practice Period

Hico, WV (WOAY) – There are still two months to go until the 2018 high school football season begins, but teams in West Virginia are currently using the three-week summer practice period to develop positive habits ahead of preseason camp.

Hear from Midland Trail head coach Frank Isaacs, along with seniors Austin Isaacs and Cordell Lesher, about how the Patriots are using June practices to build momentum ahead of the upcoming season. The Patriots will have a mix of returning veterans and newcomers, as they seek to replicate the success of last season’s 10-2 record, when they made the Class A quarterfinals.

The West Virginia high school football season begins August 24. Our season previews of area schools will start earlier in the month.
