HICO, WV (WOAY) – Newswatch is continuing to track Fayette County’s recovery efforts in the Hico area after an EF2 tornado touched down in LaVista.
Today, Governor Jim Justice toured the area to survey the damage and provide an update on the state’s work. He wants there to be an ongoing fund at the state level to provide support for natural disasters.
Several gathered at the briefing emphasized the importance of the Fayette County fire levy to keep departments funded and prepared to respond to emergencies.
