Hot and dry today, record breaking heat possible tomorrow with storms

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Today we’re seeing some fog for our mountain valleys. Any fog should mix out by mid-morning in preparation for a sunny and hot day. Highs today top out in the mid 80s with relatively low humidity values. That should help keep our feels like temperatures “relatively low”, although it is going to be a hot day for Appalachia regardless.

Rain chances are minimal to none today, but that changes tomorrow. We’ll see storms for most folks tomorrow afternoon and evening- some storms could become severe with gusty winds and hail possible. Tomorrow will also be notable for the hot temperatures we are supposed to have. We could possibly break a heat record tomorrow with our forecast highs in the high 80s.

We’ll dry out after Wednesday, but keep low rain chances in for the rest of the week. Temperatures mostly stay in the 80s all week long. Stay safe and stay hydrated!
