High density population testing continues in Raleigh and Mercer

BECKLEY, BLUEFIELD (WOAY) – On Friday, high density population testing began locally in Raleigh County and Mercer County, but there were also sites set up in Berkeley and Jefferson Counties as well.

This will continue on Saturday as the West Virginia National Guard, DHHR and local health departments are working to make sure vulnerable and minority populations have access to testing.

Testing is free and open to all in the selected counties. Identification, like a driver’s license or proof of address, is required.

Local sites and times for Saturday, May 16:

Raleigh County Commission on Aging 

164 S Kanawha St. in Beckley 9:00 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Mercer County: Bluefield State College, Harris Jefferson Student Center

Lower Parking Lot, 219 Rock St. in Bluefield, WV 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.
