Greenbrier County man and woman charged in death of child

LEWISBURG, WV (WOAY) – A Greenbrier County man and woman have been arrested and are facing charges related to child abuse and death of a child by a parent or guardian.

It stems from an incident earlier this month when Lewisburg police, fire, and EMS agencies responded to a call for an unresponsive three-year-old boy.

The child was taken to the hospital but died of his injuries.

Robert F. Reinhold, a 22-year-old man from Lewisburg, was initially charged with child abuse… that happened on December 6.

He appeared in court on Dec. 13, and the charges were changed to death of a child by abuse. Those charges carry a penalty of 15 years in jail.

Additionally, Kimberly Sears, a 26-year-old from Lewisburg, was arrested in Roanoke, Virginia, after a Greenbrier County judge signed a warrant for her arrest. She is also charged with the death of a child by child abuse.
