Greenbrier County city officials held a briefing on preparedness for the spread of infectious diseases

LEWISBURG, WV (WOAY) – Greenbrier County city officials held a briefing on preparedness for the spread of infectious diseases this evening at the West Virginia of the osteopathic medical alumni center.

Greenbriers County agencies and healthcare providers came together to discuss Greenbrier County’s plan for disease prevention. Greenbrier County Health Department Officer Bridget Morrison says the first thing to do is call a doctor if you have symptoms.

“We have to remember that we’re still in flu season and we’re still having a lot of flu cases. So if you have a fever if you can get it down and take Tylenol and Ibuprofen and make sure you’re able to drink plenty of fluid and then that’s is what we need patients to do.”
