WEST VIRGINIA (WOAY) – Gas prices are rising statewide, after last week’s prices jumped up 15 cents per gallon.
The cheapest price in West Virginia is still below three dollars per gallon at $2.77. The most expensive gallon of gas in the state costs $3.41.
Those numbers come from GasBuddy’s latest update.
The average price is now $3.26, three cents cheaper than this time last year.
Prices will continue to rise until they plateau in a few weeks. A major factor for when prices will level is the time it takes for refiners to build up a supply of summer gasoline before Memorial Day.
