Fayette Co. Health Dept. and Chamber of Commerce team up to salute local businesses’ efforts during pandemic

FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – The Fayette County Health Department and the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to recognize local businesses who are making a difference in the community during these trying times.

People can call the chamber at (304) 465-5617 or visit https://fayettecounty.com/makingadifference/  to nominate a business.

Then every Monday, with the support of New River Health, WOAY will run a “Making a Difference Monday” feature on this business that showcases how they have gone above and beyond to stay open and keep the community safe.

Kelsey Regan is the membership and events coordinator for the chamber and says this a great way to spread positivity and encourage our local businesses.

“I think that a lot of people are just struggling to find good right now, and there’s a lot of negativity out there, and to be able to highlight those businesses that have found a way to be successful in a challenging time is definitely a positive thing that we can all use right now,” Regan said.

Tune in at 6 p.m on Monday to see the first featured business.
