Fast announces run for circuit court judge

In a press conference today, Fayette County Delegate Tom Fast made an announcement about his future in state government, saying that he is running for circuit court judge in the upcoming election.

Fast has been Fayette County’s delegate for nine years. He will serve the remainder of his term as delegate regardless of the election result, since his term would end as his new term as his new judge would begin.

Fast is not running against sitting judge Tom Ewing. He said that the judicial circuit would have two sitting judges.

Fast has been an attorney in the Fayette County area for thirty years, and believes his legal career has prepared him to be a judge.
