Duncan ready to continue busy summer of golf

DANIELS, WV (WOAY) – Hear from Daniels native and Shady Spring senior-to-be Todd Duncan following Thursday’s final round of the West Virginia Open!

Duncan was the top area golfer at the Open, finishing in a tie for 16th, the latest in a list of impressive showings. Over the past 13 months, he’s won the WVGA Junior Match Play, the WV Junior Amateur, the WVSSAC Class AA individual state championship, and low junior honors at the 100th West Virginia Amateur.

Duncan will defend his Junior Amateur title next week at the Resort at Glade Springs, his home course. He says while course conditions for the Open were difficult, he feels confident he can do well on the Cobb course next Tuesday and Wednesday.
