Holden, WV (WOAY)- State officials want to highlight the elk restoration program and give West Virginians a bird’s eye view of the animals.
The Division of Natural Resources (DNR) is reviewing construction bids for the Tomblin Wildlife Management area in Logan County to build a new viewing tower and visitor center.
The DNR aims to give the public a better view and understanding of the restoration process.
The visitors center will feature displays about the history of the elk reintroduction program and the reclaimed surface mine areas where they have been placed.
