BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – They’ve been open for two weeks and the store is already a hit.
Boot Barn’s new location in Beckley is the third in West Virginia.
The store manager says they’re thankful to be there and all the positivity from the community.
“Our boots are just absolutely phenomenal; all American-made,” said Travis King. “We have exotic boots down to western fashion boots. So I think that’s where we stick out on a variety of clothing, boots and even work gear and outdoor gear as well.”
This is a special store with core brands and a lot of what they carry you won’t find anywhere else. King says they can match you with everything from hats down to socks.
“Jeans, shirts, button-downs, western fashion stuff for our men’s,” the store manager said. “And even in our women’s — we have bell-bottom country-style pants, any type of jean you can think of, graphic tees, dresses, fashion boots from Kelly or anklet boots up to knee boots. So, we have a good variety.”
They get a wide array of West Virginia customers.
“Older demographic that are more of a western feel that have the western fashion boot. And then we also have the younger demographic that like the more urban country look of everything,” said King. “We have some brands like Miranda Lambert’s brand in here that a lot of the younger generation just flocks to as well.”
It’s Tessa Hutchens second time in Boot Barn and she likes to look around.
“Beckley definitely needed something more like this,” Hutchens said. “You know, we have a lot of country folks, a lot of people like country music; that type of stuff. I think it really fits the type of people we have here.”
According to King, they are thrilled to introduce the store to the public.
“We’re excited for everybody to come in here this weekend,” said the store manager. “We have wonderful events, we have live music and entertainment; we’re ready to serve the community.”
