Beckley, WV (WOAY) – West Virginia men’s basketball head coach Bob Huggins was in Beckley Tuesday evening, as part of the opening day of events at the Advance Auto Parts Tool Show.
Huggins accepted a $15,000 donation from Advance Auto Parts to the Norma Mae Huggins Cancer Research Endowment Fund, named for Bob’s mother. He says he enjoys returning to Southern West Virginia, and how West Virginians are willing to help out with various causes.
Huggins also discussed the upcoming basketball season, notably how there are multiple non-conference matchups against teams that made the 2018 NCAA Tournament. There will also be several key neutral-site games in New York City, Myrtle Beach, and Connecticut.
The tool show continues Wednesday at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.
