Brown, Covich Give Program Updates

WOAY (Neal Brown & Sean Covich video conferences courtesy WVU Athletics) – The sports world remains on hold during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the youth, high school, college, and professional levels all affected.

However, West Virginia football head coach Neal Brown is continuing to check in with players while they are away from campus. The Mountaineers would’ve been in the middle of their spring practice, but practices and the April 18 spring game have been canceled.

West Virginia golf had already played in several tournaments on their spring schedule prior to the early end of the season, with head coach Sean Covich believing they had kept momentum going from last year. WVU’s golf program began in 2015, but the Mountaineers qualified for NCAA Regionals in 2019, and had high hopes of returning in 2020. Covich hopes to keep that momentum going into the 2020-21 season.
