The Beckley police department and the Drug Enforcement Administration will offer free, anonymous pill disposal starting on Oct. 28.
It’s being held to reduce pill abuse and theft. It gives the public a chance to get rid of prescription drugs that have expired or aren’t needed anymore.
Don’t bring liquids or needles- only pills and patches can be accepted.
Bringing the pills to the police department is safer than flushing them down the toilet or throwing them in the trash.
