Beckley, WV (WOAY)- Beckley ARH has an innovative new system to offer patients undergoing surgery.
ARH recently added the Da Vinci surgical system, allowing surgeons to perform minimally invasive procedures.
The system utilizes a 3D camera and several robotic arms equipped with small surgical instruments for greater precision, resulting in faster recovery and less pain for patients.
Operating room director Melanie Overton states the technology will be used to perform procedures such as hernia repairs, gallbladder surgeries, and appendectomies.
