Weather Update: Perfect Weekend Followed By Rain

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY-TV): High pressure will continue to careen into southern West Virginia and bring a stellar weekend with a big jump in temperatures.

EARLY NEXT WEEK: A low pressure will push from the Plains to the Tennessee Valley early next week. Monday offers the best chance for locally heavy rain that could trigger flash flooding. The system will then migrate into the Southeast and southern West Virginia will dry out Tuesday into Wednesday.

TROPICAL NEWS: In other weather news, low pressure pushing off the African coast will likely become a tropical storm (will be named Bret) next week in the open Atlantic. The likely track will steer it north of the Lesser Antilles and Caribbean and keep it far enough east of the East Coast to not cause any problems.
