WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): This afternoon and Saturday will be the warmest days of the next seven as the pattern flips back to early winter.
TONIGHT: Clouds will increase ahead of the front. Temperatures will be milder than the last few nights.
SATURDAY: Expect a few showers in the morning, then mostly cloudy, breezy and milder with temperatures a hair cooler than today’s low 60s.
SUNDAY: Steady rain is expected with 1.0-1.5 inches for the entire region. Rain will switch over to snow between 6-9 p.m. and then end by 10-11 p.m. A coating of snow (not measurable but evident on cars and the grass) is expected WEST of the Greenbrier Valley with 1 inch along Sandstone Mountain to 3 inches for western Pocahontas County. Temperatures will drop from 52 degrees to 35 degrees and winds will gust to 25-30 mph in the afternoon and evening.
MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY: The breeze early Monday will prevent black ice from developing on the pavement (despite morning temperatures dropping into the upper 20s) and help dry out the pavement by Monday afternoon. Tuesday through Thursday will be seasonable and then a transition to warmer temperatures is expected on Friday.
