Weather Update: Profuse Heat Followed By Stormy Weekend

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY-TV): A heat ridge will bring the hottest temperatures of the year Thursday through Saturday. Heat Advisories will stay east and west of our region.

THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY AT 6 PM: Temperatures warming from the upper 60s to 90 degrees. Heat indices will reach 94 degrees. There will be a storm north of Oak Hill between 4-7 p.m. Thursday. Thunderstorms likely after 6 p.m. Saturday as a cold front pushes through the region.

SUNDAY: A couple of showers, perhaps a thunderstorm, best chance early in the morning and during the late afternoon. Temperatures will be cooler with lower 80s but still rather humid until evening.

MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY: Cooler and less humid. Tuesday’s morning temperature will be the coolest of the week with upper 50s!
