Weather Update: Pesky Showers Followed by Transient Dry Streak

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY-TV): The fair weather cumulus clouds outside this afternoon will give way to one or two showers after 10 p.m. tonight from low pressure swirling in the Great Lakes.

Chief Meteorologist Chad Merrill reported live from Bridge Haven Golf Course in Fayette County earlier today with the latest forecast:

TUESDAY: As the low pressure heads through the northern Mid-Atlantic on Tuesday, several more rounds of showers are expected in the afternoon. This means your morning will likely begin dry with the first showers arriving shortly after lunch.

MID-TO-LATE WEEK: The low pressure will exit to the I-95 corridor as high pressure returns. Expect Wednesday to be downright gorgeous with bright sun and low humidity. Warmer, but more seasonable temperatures return for Thursday and Friday but rain will be absent.

WEEKEND: Another low pressure will approach from the Great Lakes and Midwest and trigger storms this weekend, best chance each afternoon and evening. Temperatures will stay seasonable for early July, but it will be warmer than the pattern we have acclimated to recently.
