Plains Blue Norther Headed For Southern West Virginia

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY-TV): The cold snap slicing through the Plains will drop temperatures below average by Monday night here in southern West Virginia.

FOOTBALL FRIDAY: Clouds will part and a few rays of sunshine are expected before sunset. Temperatures will drop from the lower 60s at the start of the games to the upper 50s by the end of the game and the weather will remain dry.

WEEKEND: Saturday will be dry and a few showers will arrive after 6 p.m. on Sunday ahead of the Blue Norther, a significant cold front pushing across the Plains as of this writing on Friday afternoon. Temperatures will drop from highs in the low 70s Saturday to the 60s on Sunday.

NEXT WEEK: A half inch of rain is expected along the cold front on Monday with temperatures dropping through the 50s. The coldest stretch of weather this autumn season will be Tuesday through Thursday with lows in the 20s and highs in the 40s. Northern Pocahontas County will see a light dusting of snow on Tuesday.
