Oak Hill, WV (WOAY-TV): A cold front stalled across the Upper Midwest will sweep across southern West Virginia on Monday and bring heavy rain and gusty winds.

TONIGHT INTO MIDDAY MONDAY: A round of thunderstorms producing only briefly heavy rain will push across between Midnight and 6 a.m. No severe weather is expected.
MIDDAY MONDAY TO 5 PM: Thunderstorms will initiate ahead of the cold front from eastern Ohio to northern Kentucky. These storms will push west to east across our region between 1-4 p.m., producing wind gusts 40-50 mph. Scattered wind damage appears likely with this line of storms. The system is reminiscent of Friday, July 28 when thousands of power outages were reported with the storms. Although heavy rain producers, the storms will be careening at 30 mph, so only localized flooding in poor drainage areas is expected.
Monday 6-10 p.m.: Following a break, a second round of storms producing gusts of 30-40 mph are expected as the front pushes through southern West Virginia.
10 p.m. Monday to daybreak Tuesday: The front will bring a noticeable drop in humidity and a refreshing northwest breeze.
