Hamlin, WV (WOAY)- State and local police are investigating a fire that broke out at Lincoln County High School.
According to a West Virginia State Police press release, local authorities responded to an arson complaint at the school’s athletic complex in Hamlin on Sunday.
Upon arriving on the scene, police discovered that the fire damaged the baseball team’s dugout and an attached shed.
Thousands of dollars in mowers and baseball equipment were also destroyed.
Authorities are following up on leads as the investigation continues.
