Annual Report deadline scheduled for June 30

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) – Secretary of State Mac Warner is issuing a notice to business owners to file their annual report by the June 30 deadline.

Businesses that miss the deadline will be flagged in the state’s database as out of compliance, and late filers must pay a $50 late fee as required by law.

Guest filing is available for business owners who prefer not to establish an online account.

The fee for filing an annual report is $25.

Warner advises business owners to be cautious of third-party sellers that charge up to $375 to file the annual report on behalf of the business. A third party is not required to file.

With West Virginia reporting the highest number of registered businesses recorded in state history, Warner states that more annual reports will need to be filed than ever before.

Almost all annual reports are filed online at the one-stop business portal found at business4.WV.Gov.
