Oak Hill, WV (WOAY-TV): Low pressure spinning across northern Ohio will foster a few more downpours through early evening. Then, be on the lookout for the July Full Moon, known as the Buck Moon (it will be 99% full since the true full moon occurred earlier today)!
TONIGHT:
5 PM- 7 PM: 10-15 minute downpours will end and peaks of sunshine will emerge.
7 PM – Midnight: Clearing skies will allow for river valley fog to form AND after 9:40 p.m., the full moon, also a supermoon (because of the moon’s closer distance to Earth this month…. called perigee) will emerge from the eastern horizon.
Midnight – SUNRISE: Partly cloudy with the bright moon allowing for additional light. River valley fog will be evident in most locations from Route 19 to the Greenbrier Valley.
FOURTH OF JULY: Patchy early fog, then sunny. Fair weather cumulus clouds developing after 11 a.m., but the only rain will be two or three 10 minute showers in the northern Greenbrier Valley and Route 219 corridor (mainly Pocahontas County)
Temperature at fireworks: 78 degrees (cooler upper 60s in the highest elevations of Pocahontas County).
REMAINDER OF THE WEEK INTO THE WEEKEND: The heat and humidity return mid-late week. There is a good chance for an afternoon shower or storm Friday afternoon and then again late this weekend. Neither day will be a washout. Air conditioners will be humming through the weekend. There is a change in the temperature regime coming during the midweek next week though! Stay tuned for details.
