US 340 near Harper Ferry is finally going to reopen.
It will be open on Friday, December 1st.
Triton Constitution Inc. has finished the road safety project ahead of its original 90-day plan. This means it will open ten days earlier than expected.
The project originally began back on September 12, with the goal of removing rocks and installing rockfall barriers.
The past week work wrapped up on putting down rumble strips and reflective pavement, making the road much safer for travelers.
