The Fayette County school bus drivers are hosting their first annual Sock Drive

FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY)- Fayette County school bus drivers held a Stuff the Bus event at the Walmart in Fayetteville Dec. 9, but donations will be accepted from now till Dec. 15. They have multiple drop-off locations around the area for people to donate.

Mike Fox, a Fayette County school bus driver, explains why drivers are doing this.

“Well, the socks are just one of those things people take for granted. I mean, if your feet are cold, you’re cold everywhere else, and if you ask any Vietnam veteran who was in Vietnam, they’ll tell you how important warm, dry socks really are,” Fox said. “It’s tremendously overlooked. So, we’ve decided to step up and have our first annual bus driver sock drive for the kids.”
