State Fairground safely hosts flea market

LEWISBURG, WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia State Fairground carefully planned how to safely allow the Outdoor Flea Market to return.

There is no shortage of space available in the parking lot off of 219 south. Vendors are required to set up booths at a minimum of 10 feet away from each other.

“For it to be open, it means a lot so that people can come out here and get out of the house,” said Flea Market Vendor Russell Lilly. “With the coronavirus, it’s really good. I feel comfortable coming out here. I have seen a lot of people wear their masks today. I can’t blame the older people.”

The flea market will hopefully expand to include Saturdays again in the next several weeks.
