Soggy, Chilly Friday Gives Way to Beautiful Mother’s Day

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): A front will spark a couple showers this evening and then a breezy northwest wind will draw in a much cooler airmass.

SYNOPSIS: Showers will end by 1 a.m. Friday as a cold front pushes through the region. A few sprinkles are likely Friday morning, becoming occasional showers during the morning. The high temperature will only reach 60 degrees. The rain tapers off Friday evening, and then fog develops prior to daybreak on Saturday.

The fog will lift Saturday morning, the sun will fade behind clouds late in the morning and then a few breezy showers are expected after 1 p.m. Those showers will end in the evening, fog will redevelop overnight and then lift after 9 a.m. Sunday. The balance of the day will be sunny and breezy. Monday will be dry and low pressure will bring rain for the afternoon and evening on Election Day. Sunshine returns on Wednesday afternoon and continues into Thursday.
