Season opening at Snowshoe pushed back

SNOWSHOE, WV (WOAY) – If you are hoping to hit the slopes at Snowshoe Mountain, you are going to have to wait a little longer.

The ski resort announced today that it is moving back its tentative opening date… It was set to open Nov. 22. Now, the tentative opening day is December 1, but the resort is warning that weather conditions could push it back further.

The resort is still optimistic about the season, saying that some of the best seasons they have had got off to a slow start.

The Thanksgiving celebration is still on. Festivities like a Thanksgiving feast and a tree-lighting ceremony are planned.
