Meadow Bridge’s first annual Christmas bazaar filled with crafts and a $10 full spaghetti dinner kicks off this Saturday, Nov. 4 (10am to 4pm) at the Senior Center, 8910 Sewell Creek Road.
“The eighth and ninth-graders from Meadow Bridge will be having a spaghetti dinner to raise money for their DC trip,” said council member Josie Kincaid. “No expenses for the parents.”
It’s that time of year again, to get in the spirit. Meadow bridge is launching their first-ever Christmas bazaar, symbolizing hope and new beginnings.
They will also take contributions for the 300 Christmas bags they put together every year.
“For the seniors and the shut-ins, so anyone that wants to donate to that… it would be greatly appreciated.”
Josie says it means so much to the town to be able to hold an event like this. It gives people an opportunity to come out and visit with their neighbors and meet the vendors who are showcasing their homemade creations.
“A lot of love and time goes into the crafts, to just maybe bless somebody else with your gifts that God’s given you,” the council member said.
Here’s hoping they get a big turnout to help the children and vendors, who will have a variety of homemade items — including aprons, tea towels, ball huggies and more.
“Hopefully, we can do it every year and eventually get it to where we’ll have 40 or 50 vendors,” said Kincaid. You gotta start small to get big.”
