FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – The Fayette County Library now offers over 4,000 comics, graphic novels and children’s materials online.
Usually, libraries host summer programs to encourage reading and socialization among kids in the community, but the pandemic has limited their abilities to do so. Director Becky Kellum says its important to encourage kids to read at home, but she’s looking forward to eventually welcoming them back.
“It helps them meet other children their age, socialize them a little bit, be able to play with other children and work with them,” said Kellum. “They come [to summer programs] and do crafts [and read] the stories
