Ford recalls over 230,000 SUVs due to rollaway risk

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) – Ford has issued a recall of over 200,000 of its vehicles.

Specific 2020 through 2022 Explorer models are being recalled due to a rollaway risk if the parking brake isn’t applied.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Ford will repair the vehicles free of charge.

Those repairs will include a replacement of the rear axle bolt and subframe bushing.

Owners of the affected vehicles will receive letters from Ford in November.
