Fayette Plateau Ministerial Association hosting Walk Against Hunger fundraiser on May 18

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) – The Fayette Plateau Ministerial Association (FPMA) is hosting its Walk Against Hunger fundraiser on Saturday, May 18. 

Registration will begin at 8:30 am at the White Oak Rail Trail Depot, with the walk kicking off at 9:00 am.  

The registration fee is $10 for individuals and $20 for teams and businesses. 

Each walker must present their registration forms and fees to participate. 

The depot will be open during the event, and food trucks will be on-site, ready to feed hungry walkers. 

The funds from the event will support FPMA in its mission to be a blessing to the community. 

The association hosts a monthly food and supply pantry every fourth Wednesday at the Lewis Christian Community Center in Oak Hill to help people get the things they need. 

The association also operates emergency distributions when necessary to offer assistance during tough times. 

The association heavily relies on donations and fundraisers to continue hosting the pantry.

The association also accepts monetary donations if you want to support the mission without breaking a sweat.
