The City of Beckley, Raleigh County 4H, and WVU extension is holding a scarecrow decorating contest for businesses, organizations, and schools downtown.
The scarecrows will be displayed from October 22 until 31 on Main, Neville, Prince, and Kanawha Streets. They will also be displayed in Word Park and Shoemaker Square.
You have to register with the city of Beckley by October 20.
There are cash awards for the top three displays… and winners will be announced on November 2.
