Greenbrier East and Washington faced each other with a chance to play Parkersburg in Saturday’s Big Atlantic Classic championship game.
The Spartans had the hot hand early, jumping out to a 12 point lead in the second quarter, but then Washington’s three point shooting chopped it down to a five point game at the half. It remained close the rest of the way, and the Spartans were dealt a couple tough blows when Seth Brown and Jasiah Rawls were forced out with injuries. Despite the setback, the Spartans held on and won 73-65. Brown finished with a game-high 23 points.
