PINEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – A Wyoming County man is in jail after repeatedly hitting a woman and threatening to kill her.
According to a criminal complaint, Deputies were dispatched after a call came in that William Lowery had beat up a woman and was going to hurt another person. According to the victim, Lowery and her got into an argument. Lowery ripped the rear view mirror off the window and hit the woman with it. He then began to hit the woman in the face repeatedly. Once home, the woman ran to the bedroom and Lowery followed her, locked the door, and kept hitting her. Lowery grabbed a gun off the rack and said, “I will kill you, I should kill you.” Two of the victim’s sons intervened and began to wrestle with Lowery.
The victim had to be transported to a hospital due to her injuries.
Lowery is charged with brandishing a deadly weapon, domestic battery, and wanton endangerment. He is being held in the Southern Regional Jail under a 10,000 dollar bond.
