Wyoming County Man Arrested For Strangling And Beating Ex-Girlfriend

WYOMING COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – One man is in jail after strangling his ex-girlfriend and punching her in the face.

According to a criminal complaint, deputies were called to a home over a domestic situation.  When they arrived, they spoke to the victim’s father, who advised Bryan Allen Stump had allegedly grabbed the female victim by the throat and beat her up.

Deputies spoke to the victim and noticed she had blood and several bruises on her throat, her chin was cut and bleeding and had a bruise on her forehead.  The victim told deputies that her and Stump into a fight over money.  Stump then grabbed her by the neck, choked her until her vision started going black, and punched her in the face multiple times.

Stump then broke her TV and threw an object at her car when she was leaving.

Stump is charged with strangulation, destruction of property, and domestic battery.  He is being held in the Southern Regional Jail under a 15,000 dollar bond.
