Wyoming County Man Arrested And Charged For Counterfeiting

KEYROCK, WV (WOAY)- A man has been arrested for counterfeiting at a Save-A-Lot store near Pineville, WV over the weekend.

The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office says they received a complaint from Save-A-Lot that someone had passed a counterfeit $10 dollar bill at the store and gave a description of the man.

The Wyoming Deputies then obtained a search warrant for George David Day, 67, of Rockview in Wyoming County. At the time of the search warrant, they seized several counterfeit bills, templates, and computers.

Mr. Day was arrested and charged with counterfeiting, possession of counterfeit with intent to utter, uttering, and unauthorized currency.

Mr. Day was then transported to Southern Regional Jail under a $15,000 dollar bond.
