Wyoming Co. Teacher Arrested For Sending Inappropriate Messages to Students

WYOMING COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – A Wyoming County High School Teacher has been arrested for sending inappropriate messages to students on social media.

According to the Wyoming County Sheriff Deputies, Zachary Shane Cox, 30, from Clearfork, WV was arrested Tuesday, December 19th.

Cox is charged with four counts of use with obscene matter with the intent to solicit a minor.

Cox is a teacher at West Side High School in Wyoming County, where he is currently suspended.

The case is being investigated by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department and the Southern West Virginia Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.

Cox is in the Southern Regional Jail under a 60,000 dollar bond.
