BEARTOWN, WV – A Wyoming County man has been arrested after his girlfriend alleges he held her captive in his home for five days.
The girlfriend says John Robert Mullins held her against her will from December 13th to December 18th. She says during this time, Mullins beat, strangled and sexually assaulted her multiple times. She says she made several attempts to get away but was unsuccessful. Finally, she was able to escape on Monday and ran to a neighbor’s house and called for help.
She was taken to the hospital with several bruises on her neck and blood coming from her head and ears. She told police that Mullins was high during this entire altercation.
