WVU women to host Tennessee in Big 12/SEC Challenge

WOAY – West Virginia women’s basketball will host Tennessee next season as part of the Big 12/SEC Women’s Basketball Challenge.

The Mountaineers are 3-1 all-time in the women’s basketball challenge, including a win last season over Mississippi State. Tennessee won the most recent meeting against WVU, 67-49 in 2007.

Wyoming East graduate Emily Saunders will be entering her sophomore with the Lady Vols in 2020-21. The 2019 WOAY Girls Basketball Player of the Year appeared in 10 games for Tennessee this past season, and was a four-time Class AA All-State First Team selection with the Lady Warriors.
