WVU Tech Men’s Basketball Season Preview

WOAY – Hear from head coach Bob Williams & senior guard Elisha Boone as WVU Tech men’s basketball is eager for the 2018-19 season.

The Golden Bears are already 2-0 after wins over Ohio State-Mansfield and Kentucky Christian at a tournament in Kentucky, scoring at least 100 points in both contests. They’re looking to continue the success that took them to the NAIA National Tournament in both 2017 and 2018.

WVU Tech benefits from many returning contributors, with several players hailing from Southern West Virginia. Alumni from Westside, Oak Hill, Valley, Greater Beckley, and Woodrow Wilson are on the 2018-19 roster.

The Golden Bears are in Beckley this weekend to host the Halfcourt Shootout, before a home contest with Saint Francis on Tuesday. Their first conference game is November 28th at Ohio Christian; WVU Tech was picked second in both the River States Conference and the league’s East Division.
