WVU President delivers first State of the University address

 Monongalia, WV (WOAY0 – West Virginia University President Michael Benson delivered his first State of the University address today, laying out his plan and hopes for the future of WVU.

The speech came at the beginning of the October faculty senate meeting. Benson has spent his first twelve weeks as president meeting with faculty, staff, and students, and traveling the state.

During his speech today, he shared some of what he learned from the tour and took questions from the faculty.

His tour continues with a visit to Beckley tomorrow.
