WVU Falls at Iowa State

WOAY – West Virginia men’s basketball lost a Big 12 Conference matchup at Iowa State 93-77 Wednesday night in Ames, Iowa. The Mountaineers have now lost five of their last six games.

WVU was led by Jevon Carter’s 18 points, while Esa Ahmad and Sagaba Konate each contributed 17 points. Bob Huggins’ team played without Daxter Miles, Jr. due to illness.

Four of Iowa State’s starters reached double figures, led by 25 points from Donovan Jackson and 22 from Lindell Wigginton. The Cyclones have won two straight over the Mountaineers, dating back to the 2017 Big 12 Tournament Championship Game.

West Virginia returns to Morgantown Saturday when they host Kansas State.
