MORGANTOWN, WV (WOAY) – West Virginia University recently approved a new $1.1 billion budget which will include some changes.
The university announced on Friday that all faculty and staff will receive a pay raise which will come out a $15 million dollar fund. Out of the 15 million the state will be paying for $3.1 million while the university will cover the rest.
The university also approved a 5.73% tuition increase along with a 2% reduction in expenses.
WVU adds that they will continue to focus on being more efficient and cost effective by implementing new technology, focusing on performance, and leveraging expertise and arrangements with the private sector.
