WVSP to conduct sobriety checkpoint in Raleigh County on May 24

Beaver, WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia State Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in Raleigh County on Friday, May 24, from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

The checkpoint will be located along U.S. Rt. 19, approximately one mile south of the intersection with Airport Road in Beaver. 

The checkpoint’s purpose is to deter impaired driving and educate the public about the dangers of operating a vehicle while under the influence. 

WVSP urges the public to assist them in preventing drunk driving by reporting intoxicated and drug-impaired drivers to local authorities.
