WV Superintendent recommends all school extracurricular activities be canceled

CHARLESTON, WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia State Superintendent is recommending that all school extracurricular activities be canceled.

The West Virginia Department of Education tweeted the message out.  The recommendation is that it be in effect on Monday, March 16, 2020, and lasts until April 10, 2020, in which they will review it.

This does not include student care programs like 21st Century Learning & child nutrition programs.
