WOAY – The Class AAA volleyball all-state teams were announced Sunday, with players being selected by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association.
Woodrow Wilson senior Bryce Knapp was named captain of the first team, having been a key contributor in the Lady Flying Eagles’ run to the state semifinals. This is the third straight year she was selected to the first team, having earned Second Team honors as a freshman. Knapp was WOAY’s Lewis Nissan Athlete of the Week on November 6.
Greenbrier East senior Karlei Shaver was also selected to the First Team, while Lady Spartan teammate Abbey Anderson was named captain of the Second Team.
