Wonderland of Trees kicks off Nov. 2 at the Summit Bechtel reserve

It’s November, and you know what that means- the Christmas season is just around the corner, and local businesses are making preparations.

At the Summit Bechtel Reserve, local businesses and organizations are decorating trees to be displayed at the J.W. Marriot, Jr. Leadership Center.

The event, called the Wonderland of Trees, is being put on by United Way. It is the fifteenth year that it’s being held.

“The Summit Bechtel Reserve team is an incredible community partner, and we are thrilled to again be extended the opportunity to host our Wonderland of Trees on their property.” Trena Dacal, executive director of United Way of Southern West Virginia, said. “Not only does the Marriott Leadership Center provide an incredible destination, but the venue has been made available to us for events like Gingerbread House Decorating, Paint Parties, Cookie Decorating, and more.”

When you visit the trees, you can vote for your favorites by spending a dollar on your favorites. You can vote as many times as you would like.

The display is open to the public until Nov. 17, with a live auction.
